CCXR Editionはこれまでケ-ニグセグが培ってきた経験を糧に、記録に挑戦する目的で生み出されました。

その目的とは,とてつもないパフォ-マンスをトラックで、またはお気に入りのワインディングロ-ドでしかもスマ-トで快適に見せつける事です。

リリ-スの時点で、他のス-パ-カ-はパワ-ウェイトレシオ、空力バランス、ダウンフォ-スとシャシ-剛性の面でCCXR Editionに敵いませんでした。そしてCCXR Editionは他のどのハイパ-カ-よりも見事なドライバビリティを発揮することで、ラフな路面をもいなす理想的なシャシ-と足回りのセッティングを持っていました。

新しいエンジンマッピングが与えられた"4.8Lツインスーパーチャージャー付フレックス燃料対応エンジン"を搭載したことで1018馬力を発揮します。ローダウンされたシャシーは、改良されたショックアブソーバー、レートの高められたスプリング、アンチロールバーが装着されトラック仕様になっています。

CCXR Editionは4台のみが生産され4.8Lツインスーパーチャージャー付フレックス燃料対応エンジン、11スポ-クホイ-ル、ユニ-クなリアウィング、同じくユニ-クなサイドウィングレットを装備するなど大変エクスクル-シブな仕様となっています。
